Dictionary
What are all these weird words? Finnish. Get used to it, it'll probably be the language everyone's speaking in a couple years.
Here's what some of them mean:
Joulu - Christmas
Joulupukki - (lit. Christmas Goat) Santa Claus
Joulupukkin Vaimo- Santa Claus' Wife
Korvatunturi- (lit. Ear Fell) The home of Joulupukki upon a fell close to the Russian border where it is rumored that Joulupukki can hear all the whispered wishes of every child in the world.
Tonttu- The elves that happily live and work at Korvatunturi

This sounds strangely like my day :-)complete with the socks. Are you SURE that Joulupukkin Vaimo hasn't dropped by Squaw with a To Do List????

Haha, so nice of you to help her out!
I think this is my favorite panel. The posture of Phil as he darns socks is so adorable and grandmotherly (please don't be offended, Phil). The apron is also a nice touch.
